DJ George was born and raised on the southside of Chicago,
growing up listening to some of the most soulful R&B music ever produced in the
70’s and 80’s. He thanks his older siblings for having an extensive vinyl
collection of both LP’s and 45’s ranging from Isaac Hayes, Harold Melvin & The
Bluenotes, Rufus F. Chaka Khan, JB’s, Funkadelic-Parliament, Ohio Players…you
get the picture! While in high school throughout the early 1980’s, House Music
was in full force and George instantly became intrigued by this new genre of
music played by some of the most famous House DJ’s such as: Frankie Knuckles,
Ron Hardy, Farley Keith, Andre Hatchett, Gene Hunt . He went to house parties
and clubs not only to dance all night but to study how the DJ used to spin
records. At 17, he and his friends purchased some cheap belt drive turntables
and mixer to practice djing. However, they only put their equipment to use for
about a year or so before graduating high school and going their separate ways.
It wasn’t until George was in the U.S. Navy overseas where he honed his skills
as a DJ spinning at base clubs.

Today George still represents the forgotten DJ’s that used
to spin the best FUNK and R&B back in the day. As DJ George grew older his style
of djing entertains the “Grown & Sexy” crowd. He specializes in R&B (Old & New),
Hip Hop, Gospel R & B, Deep Soulful House, Old School Disco House, Gospel House
and Steppers Music. The functions he provides music for includes but not limited
to are Social, BBQ’s/Picnics, Steppers Events and Wedding Receptions. Feel free
to listen to some of DJ George’s mini mixes that he put together in the Links
tab. Trust me, you will indulge your soul and walk away with a tremendous
musical experience.
